Outdoor summer boat storage

Summer Storage

Summer Boat Storage

Our summer storage is outdoor and built around one thing, which is getting you on the water as often as possible while the weather is in your favor. Your boat sits ready at our lot on Raystown Lake instead of at home behind the garage, so a good forecast turns into a day out rather than an hour of hitching and hauling.

What We Store

What We Store For The Season

The boats that get used most are the ones that are easiest to get to. Every extra step between you and the water costs you days on the lake over a season, and by the end of summer that adds up to most of the reason people say they never got out as much as they meant to.

Pontoons And Tritoons

The boats we sell and service most, kept on our lot so a spare afternoon is enough time to actually take one out.

Bowriders And Runabouts

Family day boats stored ready to launch, so an evening on the water does not depend on how much daylight is left after towing.

Fishing And Bass Boats

Close enough to the lake for an early start, which matters more on a fishing boat than on anything else we store.

Personal Watercraft

Jet skis and personal watercraft stored for the season, individually or alongside the boat they usually travel with.

Boat Trailers

Trailers stored with the boat or on their own, which also clears the driveway at home for the whole summer.

Cruisers And Larger Hulls

Larger boats are welcome too, though space for them is more limited, so it is worth calling early in the season to check availability.

How It Works

How Summer Storage Works

Summer storage is deliberately the opposite of winter storage. Winter is about protection and staying put. Summer is about access, so everything here is set up to get your boat in the water quickly and back on the lot with as little effort from you as possible.

01

Outdoor Storage On Our Lot

Summer storage is outdoor, and that is by design rather than by compromise. Boats parked in the open are easy to reach, easy to move, and quick to get hooked up and launched. During the season, when you are using the boat most weeks, convenience is worth far more than a roof, and it is why in season storage works the way it does.

02

In And Out All Season Long

Your boat is here for the season, not locked away for it. Take it out as often as the weather allows and bring it back when you are done, without towing it across the county each time. For most owners this is the single change that turns a handful of trips a summer into most weekends.

03

Service While It Is With Us

Because storage is at the same place as our service department, anything that comes up mid season gets handled without a separate trip. An engine service, a repair, or a new accessory can be scheduled while the boat is already sitting here, which usually means it is done between one outing and the next.

04

Ready When The Weather Is

Good boating days on Raystown are not always the ones you planned for. Keeping the boat here means a clear forecast on a Thursday afternoon can become time on the water, instead of something you talk yourself out of because of everything involved in getting there.

Why We Stand Out

What Makes Our Summer Storage Work

We have been on this lake since 1946, and storage here comes with the rest of the dealership attached to it rather than sitting on its own in a field somewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers To Common Storage Questions

Is summer storage indoor or outdoor?

Outdoor, and that is intentional. In season the priority is getting on the water quickly, and an outdoor spot is far easier to reach and move a boat out of than an indoor slot. Our indoor building is used for winter storage, when protection from the weather matters more than convenience.

Can I take my boat out whenever I want?

Yes, that is the whole point of it. Summer storage is built around frequent use, so you come and go through the season as often as the weather allows. It is worth calling ahead if you want the boat pulled and ready at a particular time, especially on a busy summer weekend.

How close are you to Raystown Lake?

We are at 5090 Schoolhouse Road in Hesston, right by the lake, which is the reason summer storage here works so well. Instead of towing from home every time, the boat is already where you want to use it.

Do you store the trailer as well?

Yes. Trailers can be stored alongside the boat or on their own. For a lot of owners that is a benefit in itself, since it clears the driveway or the side of the house for the whole summer.

Can you service my boat while it is in storage?

Yes, and it is one of the real advantages of storing with a full service dealership. Engine service, repairs, fiberglass work, or a new accessory can all be scheduled while the boat is already on our lot, which usually means it happens between outings rather than costing you a weekend.

Do you store personal watercraft?

Yes. Jet skis and personal watercraft can be stored for the season, either on their own or with the boat they usually travel with.

What size boats can you take?

We handle a wide range, from personal watercraft up through pontoons, tritoons, and larger hulls. Space for the biggest boats is more limited, so call with your length and beam and we will confirm what we can accommodate for the season.

Is my boat covered while it is stored outdoors?

Outdoor storage means the boat is in the open rather than under a roof, so we recommend a good fitted cover or bimini for the season. If yours is worn, torn, or does not fit properly, our shop makes and fits covers and canvas, and the off season is the easiest time to sort that out.

Do I need my own insurance?

You should carry your own coverage on the boat while it is stored, the same as you would at home. Our team will go through the specifics with you when you reserve so there is no confusion about what is and is not covered.

How much does summer storage cost?

Rates depend on the size of the boat and the space it needs, so we quote it per boat rather than publishing one number that would be wrong for most people. Call us and we will give you a straight price for your boat and the season.

When should I reserve a spot?

Earlier than you think. Summer spots fill as the season approaches, and the larger the boat the sooner they go. If you already know you want a place for next summer, it costs nothing to call now and get it confirmed.

Can I move into winter storage at the end of the season?

Yes, and many owners do exactly that. Rolling from outdoor summer storage into our indoor winter storage means the boat never leaves us, winterizing and any service can be scheduled at the same time, and it is ready to go again in spring without you moving it twice.

Do you store boats you did not sell?

Yes. We store virtually any make and model regardless of where it was purchased. You do not need to have bought the boat from us to keep it here.

How do I reserve a summer spot?

Call us at 814-658-3464 or use the button on this page. Tell us the boat, the length, and whether the trailer is coming too, and our team will confirm availability and get you booked in for the season.
